I’ve talked before about how my family loves to gift one another with beautifully decorated tins containing delicious homemade treats at Christmas time. This is one of the things we love to fill our Christmas tins with! These cinnamon sugar candied nuts are a wonderfully festive sweet treat that I’m sure you’ll love! Give it a try using the recipe below.
Ingredients:
- 1 large egg white
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 2 cups of raw almonds
- 1 cup of raw pecans
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together egg white and 1 tablespoon of water until frothy (this will take about 2 minutes); set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine sugars and cinnamon; set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine almonds, pecans, and egg white mixture until well combined. Stir in brown sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Spread almond mixture onto prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Place into oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Let cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
